In 2018, I decided to start a blog as a service to help others with areas of use for daily life.  The name Major Gates is a word play combination of my kids names.  I create crafts that I love, that could be used for parties, events and gifts. My favorite thing to make is Christmas Ornaments!

My service provides step-by-step instructions on how to do things with educational informational tips.    All of the crafts I make myself and some I sell locally, at craft fairs, markets, or on-line sites.   Some people do not have the time or materials to make things, and that is perfectly okay, they just want to buy them.

As I started to blog, I realized I would get requests for recipes, travel tips, gardening and emergency prepping, so I added these topics too.

Lately, I have been getting requests on where to find materials for crafting, so that is my next venture.  Soon, I will be opening my own e-commerce store with these hard to find items.  I also will be selling the crafts I make directly but the quantities will be limited since they are handmade.
