Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice Ornament
Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice Ornaments are very cute to make for a Harry Potter Christmas Tree. Also, these ornaments are very easy to make. Everyone who is a Harry Potter fan knows what Pumpkin Juice is, so if you want to surprise a true fan, make them a few ornaments for them to put on their tree.
These ornaments will also coordinate with other Harry Potter themed decorations. Consider having a Harry Potter themed Christmas tree or making a mini tree in the theme. You could also just make them without the hanging hook and string and use as a decoration for Halloween or other party.

Supplies
You probably have some of these items already, but if you can’t find these items at your local stores, I have looked them up on-line already for you.
- Travel size plastic bottles – 2.7 oz (80 ml) – most stores sell these but they also sell them on-line.
- White Card Stock – 65 lb
- Sharp Scissors
- Color Printer
- Plastic or foam pumpkins – approx. 2 inch wide x 1 inch tall – these are small pumpkins that I usually find in the fall but you can also order on-line
- Orange/Pumpkin Extra Fine Glitter
- Polycrylic Finish (water based) or Mop and Glo and plastic injector (optional)
- Corks
- Dual temperature mini glue gun and dual temperature glue sticks
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Twine or Ribbon – I used black glitter ribbon .625 in x 3yds for the decorative part of the bottle and the cord ribbon for hanging the ornament.
- Artist Paint brush
Directions For Pumpkin Juice Ornaments
- Start by doing an internet search and find a Pumpkin Juice Label and save down to your computer.
Note: Images found on the internet are for personal use only. So you can not produce images to sell products without the permission of the image owner. I only recommend using images for personal use only. So you must locate the image owner and get permission to use their image if you wish to sell products.
- Print out the Pumpkin Juice Labels on the white card stock. Then I printed 16 per page so they are small enough to fit on the 2.7 oz bottles. Then I used a free photo editing software program called PhotoScape. I am not affiliated with them but here is the link if you are interested. http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php
- Next, cut out the Pumpkin Juice Labels.
- Pour some Polycrylic or Mop and Glo into the travel bottle and swirl (not shake) until you cover the travel bottle. Then pour out any access. So if you shake the liquid in the travel bottle, you will end up with bubbles that are hard to remove.
- Then pour the extra fine glitter into the travel bottle. Add more glitter until you fully cover with glitter and pour out any excess. So you may have to pour glitter several times in order to cover the bottle.
- Dry the glittered bottles upside down for 8 hours or overnight. Then let the bottles dry right side up for another 6-8 hours. The glitter inside the bottle needs to fully dry.
- Now apply the Pumpkin Juice label with mod podge and allow to dry for about 30 minutes. Then paint the front of the label with mod podge to seal it and allow to dry.
- Afterwards, with the glue gun, glue the cork to the top of the pumpkin juice ornament and allow to dry for 4-5 minutes.
- Then add a dap of glue to the top of the cork and add the foam pumpkin. Allow to dry for about 4 minutes.
- Next, add the ribbon. So I choose a glitter black ribbon, but twine or ribbon that matches your label would look great too.
- Then I also added a sunflower charm to the front of the ribbon for an added touch that I found at my local craft store. I would have love to have found mini pumpkins but the sunflowers worked. So I just put a dab of hot glue on the back of the charm and then centered it on the ribbon above the pumpkin juice label.
- Next, with scissors or a skewer, puncture two holes at the top of the pumpkin.
- Cut the rope/cord ribbon about 7 inches in length and apply a little hot glue on each end. Now, place the ribbon into the holes at the top of the pumpkin. Then add additional glue at the top of the pumpkin juice ornament for a more secure ornament and then allow to dry for 5 minutes.
- You are done! Time to hang it on the tree! Let me know how it turns out.
