Baby Shower Corsage
Baby Shower Corsages are easy to make and everyone will love them. Â I love to customize parties and events to make an unforgettable experience. Â So, I decided to change things up and make a different type of baby shower corsage with fabric rose petals. These are usually made with ribbon or with a large faux flower. Â Furthermore, the rose petals give the corsage a soft, flowing look and feel, for a light and airy appeal.
You can customize the corsage to any theme and color. Â For the baby shower I made these for, the theme was butterflies. Â So once, we decided on a theme, I saved down butterflies I liked from the internet and then printed them on 65 lb card stock. Â I used them throughout the shower. Â For example: Â on the menu, food labels, shower gift bags, water bottles, game print outs, chip bags and favors. Â The possibilities are endless when you do a customized baby shower.
I give this an easy crafting level for crafters. Â So you do not have to be an excellent crafter to create a baby shower corsage. Â You just need a few hours, some supplies and your imagination. Â So have fun and take pictures of your work!

Supplies
- 3 inch circle cut from a paper plate, poster board or heavy card stock.
- Ribbon in assorted colors to match the theme and sizes like: 7/8″, 5/8″, 3/8″ and 1/4″ – cut in 7 1/2″ strips for other corsages like, Grandma To Be or Aunt To Be. For Mom-To-Be, cut the strips a little longer, about 9-10″, so the mommy-to-be corsage should be a little larger.
- 1 bag of faux fabric rose petals in the color or your choice. Choose a bag with a few hundred inside.
- Scissors
- Dual temperature mini hot glue gun with mini glue sticks
- 65 lb white card stock
- 2″ circle craft punch
- 2 1/2 inch scallop punch
- Glitter card stock (color of your choice)
- Ruler
- Embellishments (optional)
- Self-adhesive pins
Directions For Making A Baby Shower Corsage
Cut out a 3 inch circle on a heavy duty paper plate (like Chinet), thick card stock or thick poster board. Â It does not have to be a perfect circle.
- Next, apply some hot glue about 1/2 inch from the edge and begin gluing on the rose petals. You are only gluing on a single layer.
- Upon completion, cut your ribbon. I cut at least 14 strips (7 1/2 – 8 inches long) but cut more if you would like it thicker. The mom corsage should be longer and more embellished than the other corsages.
- Then, apply some glue on the cut ribbon towards the bottom and glue close together. So I like to lay them out before gluing to make sure I achieve the look I am wanting.  Also, start with the wider ribbons first.
Next, add another layer of rose petals, slightly overlapping as you apply. Continue doing layer after layer until you are satisfied with the thickness. I did about 11 layers on the Mom-To-Be corsage.
- Then print out the labels on 65 lb regular card stock.  I use a free software called Photoscape X.  They offer a paid version but the free version works for basic editing and printing.  I found a pink circle template on the internet.  Then, I typed in the words in an elegant font in Photoscape.  I recommend making a variety of labels: “Mom-To-Be”, “Grandma-To-Be”, “Aunt-To-Be”, “Godmother-To-Be”, etc. Then, punch out with a craft punch. I used an 2″ craft punch.
- To jazz up the corsage even more, use a larger scallop craft punch, punch out larger scallops on glitter card stock. Â I used a 2 1/2 inch scallop punch. Â Then just hot glue the label to the scalloped glitter punch out.
- Apply the embellishments border if you choose or mini baby embellishments (this is optional). I added some paper cutout butterflies, since the theme is butterflies.
- Last, affix the pin backs to the back of the corsage with hot glue. Â Just make sure it is not upside down before you glue it.
- It is done!!! Â Everyone will love this baby shower corsage.
