This craft is perfect for watch parties, girls night, baby showers, bridal showers, weddings and so much more. You can be as creative as you like with what you add to the centerpiece. Supplies
- 4- 5″x7″ or 4″x6″ or 4″x4″ Picture frames – you will need 4 frames per centerpiece
- Silhouette cutouts – either hand cut or with a cutting machine. You can use card stock or vinyl with a cutting machine
- 1 can of frosted glass semi-transparent spray paint
- Card Stock or Vinyl – You can use card stock for the silhouette cut outs in what ever color you choose. You will just need to clue them onto the glass. I used regular white 65lb card stock for the dance cards and parchment card stock to print the Lady Whistledown’s Society Paper. You can use parchment card stock for all your themed printing (invitations, food tents, etc.) as it has a more antique look and feel that your guests will love. You can find it at most local craft stores or on-line.
- Scissors – used if you are hand cutting out the silhouette images
- Mini dual temperature glue gun and mini glue sticks
- Surface protection – tissue paper for spray paint and to cover your work space or use a craft mat
- Optional Accent Supplies: Flowers, teacup, quill, fan, pearls, faux jewels, gloves, dance card, and Lady Whistledown Society Paper.

- Look for silhouette images on the internet and save them down to your computer. I chose to use Lady Whistledown and a bee. If I was not going to use a cutting machine, I would print out the images, then trace on the back of card stock and then cut out with sharp craft scissors. So when hand cutting, pick images that do not have difficult or intricate cuts.
- Start by cutting out your silhouette images. So they need to be smaller than the edges of the picture frame. You can trace images on card stock and hand cut out the silhouette or use a craft cutting machine, like a Cricut or Silhouette. I used my Silhouette machine to cut out the images. So I used matte glitter vinyl. You could also use regular card stock and just glue to images to the glass.
- Take apart the picture frames and remove the glass. Then on a protected surface, spray paint with the frosted glass spray paint on one side only and allow to dry (about 1 hr).
- Then attach the silhouette image to the side that was NOT sprayed with spray paint.
- Now place a few dabs of glue within the frame and place the glass inside. Don’t forget to work quickly, as hot glue dries very fast and remove any glue webs. So the reason you can not use the bendable tabs inside the frame is that they tend to be too long. The tabs will show through the glass, so just fold them back and glue the glass in the frame.
- Next, apply a thin line of glue along one end of the picture frame and add another picture frame. Then repeat with the other 2 frames. Then glue the 2 halves together to form the box.
- Now, place on your base, table or counter. Then fill with tea lights or fairy lights. You can also, place a vase of flowers on the inside and then surround with fairy lights. Then decorate with other decorative items like, flowers, teacups, fan, faux pearls, faux jewelry, Lady Whistledown Society Paper, dance card, letters, quill, candles, etc. Use your imagination, have fun and make a lovely centerpiece(s).
