Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks
I love to make Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks for treats and parties. They are very easy to make and the decorating choices are endless. These Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks are a great treat for a Harry Potter party as Harry Potter Chocolate Wands.
You could also make these as wands for other themes as well. So consider making these for baby showers, bridal shower, food bars, or as treats at home.

Ingredients & Supplies
- Chocolate Wafers – 12 ounce (340.2 g)
- Pretzel Rods – 10 ounce (284 g)
- Decorative Candy Sprinkles – any but I recommend a variety pack so you have different colored sticks
- Quart Freezer Bag
- Pretzel Treat Bags (50 ct) – 9.75 x 2.25 in (24.77 x 5.72 cm)
- Curling Ribbon, Thin Ribbon or String
- Baking Sheet
- Wax Paper
- 8 ounce cups or glasses – you will need about 4 glasses or cups
- Baking Sheet
Directions for Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks
- Melt chocolate wafers in microwave safe bowl as per the directions on the package. The wafers will not appear as they are melted, so check every 30 seconds and stir. So make sure microwave power is on half setting, defrost or chocolate.
- Then dip the pretzel rods almost half way, twisting to remove excess chocolate.
- Over a bowl or plate, sprinkle decorative candy sprinkles over the chocolate.
- Place pretzel rod upright in 8 ounce cup, repeat until you have 3 or 4 pretzel rods in a cup. Then try to place in cup so the rods do not touch. Place in refrigerator 10-15 minutes so that chocolate sets.
- After chocolate is set on the rods, place on the wax paper to finish drying.
- Once all rods are set on the wax paper, place each rod in pretzel treat bags and tie with string or ribbon.
Use the chocolate covered pretzel sticks for your next party, backyard barbecue, pool party, Harry Potter Wands or additions to the kids lunch kits. So they will store for up to two weeks as long as the treat bag is securely tied.
