Ingredients
Recipe makes 14-16 pinwheels.
- 1 package of large flour burritos (you will use two)
- 6 slices of ham (1 small package of your favorite thin sliced deli ham)
- 6 large slices thin sliced large salami ( 1 package)
- 8 slices of thin sliced large pepperoni (1 package)
- 3-4 slices of thin sliced Provolone cheese (1 package)
- 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce or green leaf lettuce
- 1/2 cup of chopped pepperoncini’s
- 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of Italian salad dressing
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Supplies
- Sharp knife or kitchen shears
- Medium size mixing bowl
- Spatula
- Cutting board
- Toothpicks
- Clear plastic wrap
Directions For Italian Pinwheels
- In a medium sized bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, Italian seasoning, Italian salad dressing, salt and pepper until well blended.
- Next, chop up the pepperoncini peppers (seeds removed) into small pieces. Then you can either add into the cream cheese mixture or just spread on top.
- I like to add half of the peppers into the cream cheese mixture and then add the remaining once I spread it on the burrito.
- Now it is time to add the meats. Start on one side of the burrito with the 4 slices of pepperoni, then 3 slices of salami and 3-4 slices of ham.
- Next, slice the provolone cheese in half and place 3 slices on top of the meat. Then add in some lettuce and then start to roll from the stacked side. So make sure you are holding firm, so that it is staying all together.
- You can secure with a few toothpicks and then wrap in clear plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Then unwrap and slice the filled burritos into the pinwheels. They are ready to serve! You could also serve with some marinara or pizza sauce as a dipping sauce.
