Panini Sandwich

Panini Sandwiches

Having a panini sandwich is a great way to enjoy a warm sandwich, filled with any fillings you like. Panini makers are very popular, as many dual purpose as indoor grills.  So if you love sandwiches and grilling, consider investing in a panini maker.  Warm sandwiches are great any time of the day or the year.  They also go great with numerous sides including salads, soups or chips.

A panini is a grilled sandwich that is typically made with Italian bread.  It is typically made with bread like focaccia, ciabatta or a whole grain baguette, but has been adopted to use with pretty much any type of bread.  So, I like to experiment with various types of bread and contents for delicious combinations.  I also like to make sandwiches with different sauces and aioli’s.

  • I have found that it is best to put the cheese as the last layer or first layer, so that your cheese melts before the bread gets too toasted.  I like to use smoked gouda cheese, cut thick in most of my paninis.
