Pork Chops In Tomato Puree

Ingredients
- 4 regular cut pork chops
- 1 medium onion roughly chopped
- 1 can of diced tomatoes – 14.5 oz (411g)
- 3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 1 can tomato puree – 10.7 oz (305g)
- 1 can of sliced mushrooms – 4 oz (113g)
- 1/2 cup of water (if needed to prevent sticking)
- 2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon of garlic powder or onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of coarse black pepper
Seasonings for Pork Chops: garlic powder, coarse black pepper, seasoning salt, Worcestershire sauce, and Adobo seasoning.

- Deep Frying Pan
- Can Opener
- Cutting Board
- Sharp Knife
- Cooking Utensils
Directions For Pork Chops In Tomato Puree
- Rinse off pork chops and set in a large bowl or plate. Season with the following seasonings by sprinkling on both sides of the pork chops. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, coarse black pepper, seasoning salt and Adobo seasoning. Then set the pork chops to the side.
- Next , roughly chop the onion and set to the side.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil to medium high heat. Then brown the pork chops for 3 minutes per side and set to the side on a plate.
- Next, add in the onions and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Then add in the undrained can mushrooms and continue cooking and stirring.
- Now add in the diced tomatoes, tomato puree and water, then stir.
- Add in the pork chops and cover with the sauce. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 35-40 minutes or until pork chops in tomato puree are tender.
- Once they are tender, the pork chops in tomato puree are ready! Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or your favorite veggies.
