Sun-Dried Tomato Creamy Pasta
Everyone loves a good, easy, pasta dinner recipe. Sun-Dried Tomato Creamy Pasta is one of our favorites. We love Italian food for dinner and I like things that are easy to make. So trying to find recipes that my kids will eat has always been a challenge. This recipe was created one day from not having enough of pasta and Alfredo sauce, so I added them together and it turned out great. I also had some sun-dried tomatoes and added them to my meat mixture.
I often use ground turkey instead of ground beef because I noticed my family digested it better. Some of my best recipes have come together from my total reluctance for having to go back to the grocery store. I use what I had on hand and surprised myself how it would turn out. So I hope you enjoy this Sun-Dried Tomato Creamy Pasta recipe. Remember that if you are missing something, you might create your own recipe by a little substitution.

Supplies:
- Large Pasta Pot
- Large Cooking Pot/Pan
- Mini Chopper
- Strainer
Directions
- In a large frying pan, brown ground turkey or beef on medium heat. But if you are using ground turkey, you will not have to drain once cooked because the liquid cooks away. So for ground beef, you will have to drain in a strainer.
- Chop the onion into small pieces. I used my mini food processor.
- Halfway through the cooking process (meat is not all the way brown), add the chopped onion and cook until meat is down and onions are translucent.
- Drain any fat oil. Return to pan.
- So while your meat is cooking, in another pot, cook pasta as per the directions on the package. You can also do this after you make the meat mixture first.
- After you drain the fat from the meat mixture, add the can of mushrooms (you do not have to drain the water), then add the chopped Sun-dried Tomatoes. Then stir and heat through. Add the crawfish if you opted to do so and mix well. Then heat on medium-to-low for 5-6 minutes.
- Then add the jar of Pasta Sauce, and then the Alfredo sauce (rinse the jars with a little water to get it all and pour into pot) and cook on low heat to a light boil.
- Next, add the seasonings and mix well. Then taste the mixture to see if you like the seasoning level or add more of the above spices to desired taste. So be careful not to over season. Add a little at a time. You can always add more but you cannot get it out.
- If your pasta is ready, mix in large spoonful’s of sauce to desired sauce consistency. My family likes it really saucy and mixed through.
Add grated Parmesan if you wish and enjoy this Sun-Dried Tomato Creamy Pasta dinner recipe! In addition, I serve with garlic bread and a small salad. Also, this Sun-Dried Tomato Creamy Pasta reheats very well for lunch the next day as the seasonings deepen.
