Harry Potter Christmas Tree

Have you ever wanted a Harry Potter Inspired Christmas Tree but did not know where to start? The challenge often comes with finding enough ornaments that will fill the tree with variety. This year we decided to decorate one of our trees with the Harry Potter theme.

Our Harry Potter Christmas Tree started with a flocked artificial tree. I wanted to create a the cool feeling of Christmas at Hogwarts. When choosing to do a Christmas Tree in a theme, you have to consider how much you want to spend and the availability of ornaments. Reasonably priced Harry Potter ornaments are difficult to find.

As I searched for ornaments, if I would have purchased everything I liked, it would have cost me over a thousand dollars. So I decided to make many of the ornaments myself. Common Christmas Tree Supplies

7.5 ft – 9 ft Artificial Christmas Tree
White Mini lights – I used 2 boxes of 300 count but I love LED lights too.
2.5 – 3 inches wide Gold/Champagne Ribbon or Burlap Ribbon. You could also stencil “Happy Christmas” or “Merry Christmas” on plain Burlap Ribbon.
Tree Skirt

Harry Potter Train to go around the tree
Harry Potter Stocking
Scissors
Chenille Stems in Green, white or black to secure topper and large additions. This includes Harry Potter figurines, Tri-Wizard cup, scarves and/or large wands.
