Harry Potter Quidditch Hoops
DIY Harry Potter Quidditch Hoops are a great idea for a Harry Potter party or event. These make great outdoor decorations. You can also create your own quidditch game for party guests to play. Just make two sets of hoops for each end of the yard. So use your imagination for the fun you can have after making these.
Making quidditch hoops is pretty easy and you do not need that many supplies. PVC pipes work great for getting into the ground. I just used a mallet and a leftover piece of pipe to make a starter hole before inserting the pipe. Another important thing to remember is to wear disposable gloves and use a drop cloth before painting, to make clean up a breeze.

Supplies
- Hula Hoops in two sizes (one big and two medium) – try your local dollar store or box store for a reasonable price, these are mostly sold in the Spring and Summer
- PVC Pipe – the size of the hula hoop (most are 1/2 inch diameter)
- PVC Elbow – 1/2 inch diameter
- Hand Saw or PVC Pipe Cutter
- Mini Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- White Primer Spray Paint
- Metallic Gold Spray Paint
- Drop Cloth
- Disposable Gloves

Directions For Harry Potter Quidditch Hoops
- Cut the hula hoop with a hand saw or pipe cutter.
- Then glue the hula hoop to the PVC pipe elbow.
- Now attach the PVC pipe to the PVC elbow and secure with hot glue.
- Next, prime the quidditch hoops with white primer and allow to dry for about 30 minutes. Then, flip over and prime the other side and allow to dry. So, don’t forget to wear gloves, to make sure you don’t get paint all over your hands.
- Then paint the quidditch hoops with the gold metallic paint and allow to dry for at least 45 minutes per side.
- Once dry, put the Harry Potter Quidditch Hoops into the ground. You can use these as a decoration or create your own quidditch game.
