Pulled Pork Ingredients
- 4 1/2 pounds of boneless pork butt roast
- 1 teaspoon of Onion Salt
- 1 teaspoon of Liquid Smoke
- 2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of Garlic Powder or Granulated Garlic
- 2 teaspoons of Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon of Paprika
- 2 teaspoons of Cumin
- 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons of Mustard Powder
- 1 cup of original BBQ sauce – this can be homemade or store bought
Supplies
- Crock Pot
- 2 large forks
- Measuring Spoons
- Frying Pan (Optional)
Directions For Crock Pot Pulled Pork
- Rinse off pork roast and place in the crock pot. If you would like a darker color to the pork, combine all the dry seasonings in a small bowl, then rub all over the pork roast. Next, brown the pork roast in a frying pan with 2 Tablespoons of oil before placing in the crock pot.
- Then add in all other ingredients.
- Cook pork on low for 8 hours but I recommend checking after 7 hours to make sure the pulled pork does not turn mushy. The pork will make its own juices as it cooks.
- Once the pork is ready, then pull apart with 2 forks or large meat fork. Now add the cup of BBQ sauce and mix in.
- Add additional sauce if desired or let each person add sauce as they want.
