Monte Cristo Sliders
Monte Cristo Sliders are one of my favorite sliders. They are very easy to make. These sliders are perfect for a gathering, party or movie night. I love to make these in the fall and winter time. My kids love for me to make them on Christmas morning and they eat them whenever they stop opening their gifts. I love that they taste great either warm or at room temperature.
This recipe is a great way to add even more flavor to Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. Another thing I love about this recipe is using Hickory Smoked Gruyere Cheese. This cheese has a smoked flavor that almost tastes like bacon. If you can’t find Hickory Smoked Gruyere, regular Gruyere tastes good too. Another alternative cheese is Monterey Jack Cheese.
I also recommend using your favorite sliced ham and turkey. By using what you like ensures the perfect sandwich. Your favorite ham and turkey meats with the sauce make the Monte Cristo sliders fantastic. Try them and let me know how it works out.

Directions For Monte Cristo Sliders
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Melt a stick of butter and then set to the side to cool.
- Slice rolls as a unit, horizontally with a serrated knife. It is easier to cut them while they are still connected. After you cut them, you can separate the rolls and place in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, bet the egg with a whisk or fork. Then add in the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce and whisk until blended. Last add in the melted butter and whisk until smooth.
- Grate the block of cheese on the cheese grater.
- With a regular teaspoon, add a dab to the bottom of each roll. Then add a folded slice of turkey and then ham.
- Next add another dab of sauce and then top with the shredded cheese and add the top of the bun. Then spread with the remaining sauce.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Allow the Monte Cristo Sliders to cool for at least 10 minutes. Then with the sifter, sift 2 Tablespoons of powdered sugar over the Monte Cristo Sliders.
- Serve with Raspberry or Black Berry preserves on the side.
