Directions For Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks

  • To start, you have the freeze the mozzarella cheese sticks for at least 3 hours before making.  The cheese sticks should be fully firm and be a little stiff to cut threw.   I tend to put them in the freezer the night before.
  • Next, right before you take out the cheese sticks pour the flour, the panko crumbs and eggs into their own small shallow bowl, so you will have 3 separate bowls.

  • Roll each frozen mozzarella stick in the flour making sure to thoroughly coat it on all sides.
  • Then, dip into the lightly beaten eggs, again making sure it’s completely coated.
  • Next, roll again in the egg mixture and then again the flour before placing in the seasoned breadcrumbs.  By coating twice, should give the mozzarella sticks a firm coat to prevent leaking when frying.
