Harry Potter Dementor’s Kiss Away Treat Bags

Making Harry Potter Dementor’s Kiss Away Treat Bags are easy. So I use jewelry self sealing bags to hold the candy. Then top with candy labels that are made from various types of card stock.

HP Dementor’s Kiss Away Supplies

Hersey Kiss Template

To start, search for images that you want on the Hershey’s Kiss. Then save down images you find on the internet. Next, open the template in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or photo software. Then import the images and reduce the size until it fits into the circle shape of the template.
Next, print on 65 lb Regular White Card Stock (8 1/2 x 11) or Gold Parchment Paper 65 lb Card Stock. I used gold parchment paper card stock for the Dementor’s kiss. Then I used the white card stock for some for some of the other toppers and the white card stock to print the Hershey Kiss labels.
Kraft Paper Card Stock (8 1/2 x 11) – 65 lb (so make sure it is not heavy weight or it will be hard to fold)
Color Printer
Self Sealing Jewelry/Treat Bags – 3 inch x 4 inch (150 pieces) – purchase on-line or at your local craft store
Bone Folding Tool
Regular Glue Sticks
Mini Dual Temperature Hot Glue Gun and Mini Dual Temperature Glue Sticks
Stapler
Scissors
Craft Punch – 3/4 inch circle (only this size will fit on the Hershey’s Kiss)
Kisses – 56 ounces or larger. So look for the party size bags at the store or buy on-line (2 lbs should be enough for a party)

Instructions for Harry Potter Dementor’s Kiss Away Treat Bags

Save down the Harry Potter images you will want to put on the Dementor’s Kisses. Save clear images like 9 3/4, HP, Snitch, Hogwart’s House Crests, Harry Potter Glasses, etc. Then reduce the image to fit into the circles and print on white card stock with a color printer.

Use the 3/4 inch craft punch to punch out the decorative labels. Then with the glue gun set on low, put a dab of hot glue on the label and affix to the Hershey’s Kiss. Repeat until you cover all the kisses (it will seem like there are a thousand in the bag).
Measure out the Kraft card stock 4 inches wide x 5 1/4 inches long. Then cut out with Scissors. Should be able to cut out 4 or 5 on one 8 1/2 x 11 in sheet of Kraft card stock. Then fold them in half and crease with bone folder tool.

Print a sheet of Dementor’s Kiss Away labels. So they should measure approximately 2.75 inches wide x 2 inches long. You should be able to print 16 labels to a page on white card stock. Then cut out labels with Scissors.

Using a glue stick, glue the Dementor’s Kiss Away label in the center of a folded Kraft paper cutout.
Place 6-7 Hershey’s Kisses in a bag and seal. Take the label and staple onto the bag. Try to staple in the center and not over the wording.

Repeat until you run out of Hershey Kisses. Place some in your Honey Dukes display and add to the guests treat bags.
